My name is Rose Thomas, and I bring over a decade of comprehensive experience in nursing, with a strong background in family practice and chronic disease management. I began my career as a registered nurse, providing bedside care on a cardiac floor, before earning my Master of Science in Nursing from Downstate University.
During my years of service, particularly in underserved communities, I became acutely aware of the critical shortage of psychiatric services available to patients. This realization motivated me to pursue further specialization, and I subsequently obtained a post-master's certificate in psychiatry from Maryville University.
My practice philosophy is rooted in patient-centered, compassionate, and evidence-based care. I am committed to creating a supportive and collaborative environment where clients feel valued and empowered in their mental health journey. My dual expertise in physical and psychological health enables me to take a holistic, integrative approach to each individual's needs. My goal is to support clients in achieving meaningful and lasting well-being, as well as a higher quality of life.
Welcome! I'm so glad you're here.
My name is Lexie, and I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). I founded Still Waters Psychiatric Mental Health, LLC with a passion for helping individuals and families find peace, healing, and hope through evidence-based psychiatric care and compassionate therapy.
I provide both therapy and medication management with a strong emphasis on a holistic, client-centered approach. I specialize in working with children (ages 6–17), young adults (18–35), and pregnant/postpartum mothers—offering support through challenges like anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, mood disorders, and perinatal mental health concerns.
My training has equipped me to treat the whole person while honoring each individual's story, values, and cultural background. I use a range of therapeutic techniques, including trauma-informed care, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and supportive psychotherapy, and I always aim to create a safe, trusting space where you feel heard and empowered.
Whether you're seeking support for your child, navigating young adulthood, or facing the emotional complexities of motherhood, I’m here to walk with you.
I am passionate about mental health. I enjoy finding creative ways to improve mental wellness that align with your vision of treatment. My background is working in a pediatric hospital for 18 years which helps me to be patient, supportive, and open-minded. I graduated from Nova Southeastern University in 2023 with my Masters in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing.
