I strive to create a therapy space where clients feel genuinely seen, heard, and respected. I also provide an affirming space for LGBTQIA+ clients and approach my work through a lens of cultural humility, honoring each person’s unique background, identity, and lived experience.

I am a clinical psychologist with 17 years of clinical experience in both outpatient mental health care and as an integrated mental health care provider in medical settings. I received training from an APA accredited graduate program based on the scientist-practitioner model and practice within the cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) orientation. I serve adults and older adults, managing a variety of mental health and medical conditions.
I believe that change and growth happen within a safe and secure relationship. I see symptoms as meaningful, often serving a deeper purpose, and I approach them with curiosity and compassion to help you explore what they may be trying to communicate.
Hi, I'm Maurissa. Much of my background has involved work with people on the Autism spectrum and I found that they struggle with the same things that many people do, including grief, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, etc. My experience with people on the spectrum has helped me to provide an open perspective to work with those struggling with emotional regulation and different ways of thinking.
