I am an LCSW providing support services for children/adolescents.
If you feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward, you’re not alone.
’m a bilingual (Spanish-English) therapist with over 20 years of experience helping adults navigate anxiety, emotional challenges, and relationship stress. I also work with teens and children facing behavioral, academic, and emotional concerns.
I hold Master’s degrees in Social Work from NYU and in Clinical Psychology from the Psychiatric Hospital of Caracas. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and practical—helping you gain clarity, build self-worth, and create healthier, more secure connections.
I believe meaningful change begins with connection. Let’s start there.
In my twenties, I studied philosophy and English literature. Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked for 15 years in magazine journalism.
I worked for 6 years in hospice care, first as an interfaith chaplain and then as a bereavement counselor.
I enjoy nature and the arts: music, poetry and painting. I practice Tibetan Buddhism.
I've been married for 30 years and have two adult daughters.
I incorporate emerging evidence-based treatments that support neuro-plasticity and expanded awareness.
Growing up in a culture where mental health was often stigmatized, I saw how difficult it could be for people to openly talk about their struggles or ask for support. Those experiences shaped my passion for therapy and inspired me to help create a space where people feel comfortable, supported, and understood without fear of judgment.
In my work, I’ve had the opportunity to support individuals from diverse backgrounds who are navigating a range of life challenges. These experiences have strengthened my belief in meeting each person with empathy, patience, and respect for where they are in their journey, while helping them build on their strengths and move toward meaningful change.
I believe that we are always one decision away from living the exact life that we want! I am a first-generation Haitian-American graduate from SUNY Albany & Stony Brook University. I've worked in the mental health field for 12 years and still find myself energized by the stories of my incredibly brave clients. In my practice, I help first generation Women of Color break free from rescuing others and give them tangible tools to begin healing themselves through daily practice.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience helping individuals navigate anxiety, depression, burnout, and stress. I obtained my Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Maryland, which a concentration in clinical social work. I have worked in a variety of settings including, psychiatric hospitals, correctional facilities, community mental health programs, as well as private practice. I also have a particular passion for working with those in law enforcement and understand firsthand the unique pressures, expectations, and emotional toll that come with the job.
Clients often describe my style as warm, grounded, and easy to talk to. I aim to create a space that feels real and nonjudgmental, where you can show up as you are. I focus on treating the whole person, not just symptoms, and I use a blend of approaches to support you in a way that feels practical and meaningful.
I take a holistic, non-pathologizing approach to therapy, supporting clients who want to feel better without feeling labeled. In addition to my clinical training, I also have a background as a health coach, which allows me to incorporate wellness and lifestyle strategies into our work. I believe mental and physical health are deeply connected, and I enjoy helping clients strengthen both.
Above all, I aim to create a space where you feel comfortable, understood, and supported as your full self.
I believe healing begins with feeling seen, heard, and understood. My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in practical tools that create meaningful change. I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, and ADHD.
I aim to create a space where you can show up fully — without judgment — while also being gently challenged toward growth. Therapy with me is not just about talking through problems; it’s about building awareness, strengthening emotional regulation, and developing skills that help you move forward with clarity and confidence.
My style is warm, direct, and supportive. I integrate evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, and strengths-based interventions. Whether you’re working through past experiences or trying to manage current stressors, we’ll move at a pace that feels safe while still encouraging progress.
I am especially passionate about helping individuals who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from their sense of purpose. My goal is to support you in honoring who you are while discovering who you’re becoming.
