I offer a calm, steady space where you can feel heard and supported. I help adults navigate anxiety, depression, and life changes with practical, down‐to‐earth tools. My approach is warm, compassionate, and empowering, and shaped by both clinical and pastoral experience. I speak English and Armenian.
I’m direct, supportive, and collaborative.
I’m Gen X, which tends to resonate with clients who appreciate a straightforward, no-nonsense approach grounded in real-world experience.
I’m also a counselor who is a Christian—but not a “Christian counselor.”
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 16 years of experience in the mental health field. First five years of my career I worked alongside a team of professionals in a clinic that provided treatment for various issues including, ADHD, anger, anxiety, depression, self-mutilation, grief and trauma to children, adolescents and adults. Last eight years I have been working with the military population, were I provide solution-focused therapy to service members and their families.
Are you feeling overwhelmed? Alone? Misunderstood? Do you feel emotionally out of control? Would you like to create a life that is not so messy? Do you just want to feel heard and validated? The painful issues we experience in our lives, when faced without emotional support or someone to simply acknowledge this pain, will rob us of our joy. I want to be the person that helps you navigate through your difficulties, so that you can learn to manage emotions in healthy ways, take control of your life, and rewrite your life narrative without the mess. I will listen without judgment, be fully present in the moments we spend together, and work collaboratively with you on finding solutions. I believe that you are the expert on your life, and with my unconditional support, you will begin to improve your mental health, so that this story of your life is being written joyfully by YOU!
I am Jessica B. Muniz, a licensed clinical social worker with clinical supervision credentialing, in the state of Texas.
