Feeling overwhelmed by or drowning in the waves that life keeps hitting you with? Maybe you’ve been experiencing high tides for a long time or maybe you are experiencing them more recently due to a particular event in your life. Either way, it can feel exhausting AND you are not alone in this experience. Just as the tides of the ocean shift between high and low and never fully disappear, our life stressors will continue to ebb and flow. We will learn ways to navigate through the waves so that you aren’t consumed by them.
I have always been drawn to people’s stories and have a passion for helping people rewrite their narratives, discovering their strengths and creating resilience through healing. I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology from TCU and my Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Texas Wesleyan University. I enjoy reading memoirs, listening to any kind of music, cooking, yoga, and spending time with my family, especially outside.
I find helping people rewarding and I am endlessly interested in people's stories.
I am an eclectic therapist that combines emotion-focused strategies with psychotherapeutic evidence-based approaches. The underlying principles in her approach are that treating anxiety, depression, relationship dysfunction, self-esteem and more can be traced to experiences, beliefs of shame, trauma, and other negative core beliefs in an individual. Finding out these aspects of a person’s life, naming them, and working through them are components of her counseling process.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Certified Sex Therapist who works primarily with individual adults that are navigating anxiety, life transitions and recurring relationship or intimacy patterns that no longer serve them. You may be feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from yourself or others. For many of my clients, this looks like constant overthinking, emotional burnout, difficulty with closeness or desire, or feeling unsure of who you are or what you need.
