Hi! I'm Amanda, LPC in Pennsylvania. I started my journey as a school counselor at a high school for 13 years and then transitioned into an outpatient facility. I enjoy working with teens, young adults, and adults as they navigate their lives. I love learning about and connecting with others. I help support individuals with adjusting to new situations, set boundaries, feel empowered, manage the demands of life, learn better coping and implement self-care. I was a DII College Athlete so I really enjoy getting to connect with other past or present athletes. I have over 19 years experience helping others with anxiety, depression, ADHD, Bi-polar, relationship issues, or just feeling overwhelmed and stressed.
I was an educator for almost 14 years when I began my training in clinical mental health. I initially worked with teens and families in intensive in-home therapy. I transitioned to outpatient where I worked with women and men who had histories of abuse. My training and experience have been predominantly in trauma and grief. I have worked with individuals who suffer from mood disorders as well as personality disorders, particularly those with complex traumas and abuse in their histories.
Jennifer assists individuals suffering from mood disorders, relationship issues, and life-threatening behaviors ages 18 and up.
Jennifer hopes to help clients cultivate the courage, compassion, and connection that we all need to build a life worth living. For individuals, she encourages clients to accept and change their negative feelings to achieve goals of emotional wellness and overall increased happiness.
I take a holistic perspective with my clients to address the health of body, mind, and spirit. I believe that a solid therapeutic relationship between client and therapist is a crucial part of the healing process, and that techniques and therapy approaches must “fit” the client in order to be effective—there is no “one size fits all” therapy.
I have 30+ years as an experienced counselor in a variety of settings. I have worked over the years in home, school, community, residential, hospital and outpatient settings. My therapy is based on an Adlerian approach as well as advanced trainings in Bipolar, DBT, and nutrition and mental health, strength-based therapy, and relationship dynamics. I love to use visualization techniques as well as incorporate current research solutions, workbooks, and training materials into my current practice.
Looking inward isn’t easy. It takes hard work to look at the stuff that keeps getting in the way of having the life you want. Often times it’s fear, other times it’s something more concrete. No matter what barriers you’re facing, together we can work through the fears and accomplish your goals. We all need support and someone to walk along side us, see the light when we cannot, and hold us until we’re on the other side.
Hi! I'm a Licensed Social Worker (LCSW-C) based in Maryland and also practicing in Pennsylvania. I received my Master's from Salisbury University and have been practicing for over 10 years. I help struggling adults become the best versions of themselves. I enjoy watching others grow and helping them in the process, while meeting the client where they need to be met. These sessions are for you and will be tailored to what you need.
